Privacy Policy

Effective: 11 August 2026

This policy explains how Jobze collects and uses personal information when you browse Jobze, create an employer account, post a role, or apply for one. Jobze is a UK-focused job board for qualified industries.

Who is responsible for your data?

Jobze is responsible for the personal information it collects to run the platform, including account, listing and support data. For an application submitted to an employer, the employer is independently responsible for how it uses your application after it receives it.

Information we collect

Employers and account holders

We collect your sign-in details provided by Google, including your name, email address and profile image where available. We also keep the job listing information you provide, such as your company name, company website, logo, contact email, application link and listing performance data.

Job applicants

When you apply through Jobze, we collect your name, email address, optional message and CV. Your CV is held in private storage so that the relevant employer can download it from its Jobze dashboard.

Technical information

We record basic listing-view information to give employers a view count. We also use essential cookies to keep a sign-in session working, and browser local storage to preserve an unfinished job post. We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal data.

Why we use this information

  • To authenticate account holders and operate the Jobze service.
  • To publish, display and manage job listings.
  • To pass an application, including its CV, to the employer selected by the applicant.
  • To provide employer listing and application dashboards.
  • To protect the service, investigate misuse and meet legal obligations.

We use these purposes because they are necessary to provide the service, because we have a legitimate interest in operating a safe job board, or because you have chosen to submit an application.

Who receives your information

Applications are shared with the employer that posted the role. If a listing includes an application email address, Jobze also forwards a copy of the application and CV to that address. We use service providers to run the platform, including Supabase for authentication, database and private file storage, Vercel for hosting, Google for sign-in, and Resend for application email delivery where enabled.

How long we keep it

We keep account and employer data while the account is active and as reasonably needed for the service. Listings are normally live for 60 days, then remain available to their employer until removed. An application and its CV remain available to the relevant employer until the role, application or associated account is removed, unless a longer period is needed by law. Employers may have their own retention practices once they receive an application.

International transfers

Our providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections and recognised adequacy arrangements.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, or request a portable copy. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. To make a request, email privacy@jobze.co.uk. For information held by an employer after you apply, contact that employer directly as well.

Security

We use access controls designed to ensure that only the owner of a listing can view its applicants and private CV files. No method of online storage is completely secure, so please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in a job application.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Jobze evolves. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date.
